Mad Decent singer LIZ is back today with the Cross Your Heart mixtape, and it’s her most wide-ranging project yet. A couple years ago she broke out with a bubbly, Y2K R&B sound, but with last year’s great SOPHIE-produced single “When I Rule The World,” she threw some PC Music-adjacent hyper-pop into the mix. And now LIZ expands outward even further with hints of EDM and millennial pop joining her retro-futurist instincts — when you have a classic pop voice like hers you can do that without getting lost in it all.

The 16 tracks include a Vic Mensa feature on “All Good,” and production from Lido, Branchez and King HenryNicola Formichetti’s Nicopanda handled the mixtape’s creative direction and the album artwork showcases pieces from Nicopanda’s F/W 2016 collection (see all LIZ’s looks here).
