Little Mix's "Shout Out To My Ex" Is Here
Little Mix's new single "Shout Out To My Ex" sounds a little familiar. Take a listen.

Little Mix dropped their new single, “Shout Out To My Ex,” last night (October 16) and it took the internet approximately 30 seconds to point out that it sounds a hell of a lot like G.R.L.’s “Ugly Heart.” From the melody to the pacing and lyrics, the tracks are too close for comfort and the ladies of G.R.L. agree. “#ShoutOutToUglyHeart,” they tweeted into the abyss. That sparked a social media war between fans, but resulted in “Ugly Heart” returning to the iTunes top 100 in the UK.

While this debate will ultimately be decided by lawyers, the controversy is a nice reminder that G.R.L. had a couple of great tunes. “Ugly Heart” was easily their best, but “Lighthouse” and Pitbull collaboration “Wild Wild Love” hold up pretty well too. Not that the group is over per se. They recently relaunched as a trio (Lauren Bennett, Natasha Slayton and new member Jazzy Mejia) and shared a song called “Kiss Myself.” Listen to a comparison of their signature song and Little Mix’s latest below.
