Today the nominees for the 2017 Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame were announced, and the roster this time around is as eclectic as ever. Included on the list are the following, whose first records were released at least 25 years ago, per the rules: Joan Baez, Bad Brains, The Cars, Chic, Depeche ModeElectric Light Orchestra, J. Geils Band, Jane’s Addiction, Janet Jackson, Journey, Chaka Khan, Kraftwerk, MC5, Pearl Jam, Tupac Shakur, Steppenwolf, Joe Tex, Yes and The Zombies.

This year marks Pearl Jam and Tupac’s first year of eligibility for induction. It’s also the first time artists like Depeche Mode, Jane’s Addiction, Joan Baez and Journey have been nominated, while Chic has been up for induction now 11 times.

Several hundred so-called experts will now vote on who the top five acts are for induction into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, with the said final five being announced this December. Until then, you, your mom and all your pals can vote as part of the public via a fan ballot on the Rock Hall site. The cut-off for voting is December 5.

HBO is set to broadcast the ceremony, which takes place in April 2017 at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center.
