Lady Gaga & Her Dad Got Matching “Joanne” Tattoos

A few years ago when she first launched her ARTPOP cycle, Lady Gaga revealed a tattoo bearing the album’s eventual title. And now she has continued the unofficial tradition, revealing a new “Joanne” tattoo on Instagram. She says she and her dad got matching ink in Joanne Germanotta’s actual signature in honor of her father’s late sister, who is the inspiration for Gaga’s latest album.
Earlier this year, Gaga wrote the foreword to her father’s cookbook based on his recipes from Joanne Trattoria, his restaurant in New York. During her interview with Howard Stern on Monday (October 24), she opened up about Joanne’s sexual assault and death, and how it went on to shape her father’s outlook and inspire her in her own life.
