Nicole Millar Flexes With “Signals,” Announces ‘Communication’ EP

Nicole Millar first appeared on my pop radar as the ethereal voice of Peking Duk’s 2014 breakthrough hit, “High.” The Australian diva then stepped out on her own earlier this year with “Tremble,” the title track of her debut EP, and casually dropped one of the year’s better dance-pop anthems. (It also boasts a concussion-inducing breakdown!) The viral success of that song led to a deal with Casablanca Records. She’s now releasing a second EP and it’s shaping up to be another winner if lead single “Signals” is any indication.

The first taste of Communication (due December 2) finds the Sydney singer in a slightly mellower mood. “Breathe me in deep, breathe me just for a second,” Nicole croons seductively on the chorus. “I’m not smoke in your lungs, yeah I’m sending a signal.” That takes us to the sultry, extremely catchy drop. It’s sleek and sophisticated electronic pop that exudes commercial appeal in a post-Chainsmokers world. Check out the arty, emotional video at the bottom of the post and peruse the EP’s full tracklist below.

Nicole Millar’s Communication EP tracklist:

1. No Bad Vibes 2. Signals 3. Pixelated 4. One Thing 5. Love Like I Never 6. Better (Nicole Millar x Sweater Beats feat. Imad Royal)
