Wrabel Is Disconcertingly Joyful On Marshmello’s “Ritual”

Wrabel's "11 Blocks" Video Causes Feels
Wrabel's "11 Blocks" video is every bit as emotional as you would expect.

Wrabel has lots of feelings. When the LA-based singer’s not obsessing over being alone (the ultra-relatable “Give It Time”) or dissecting failed relationships (current hit “11 Blocks”), he’s trying to figure out this thing called life (“Honest Man”). That’s not to say his music is all doom and gloom, but it’s still somewhat disconcerting to hear him sing on a euphoric club track. (And not a weirdly melancholy one like that Afrojack collab). But that sums up Marshmello’s “Ritual” perfectly.

“You’re something different,” the 27-year-old croons over the bucket-covered producer’s shiny synths. “Instead of breaking my heart, you’re picking up all the pieces.” Awww! But it gets even more lovey-dovey. “Don’t know what I’d do if I was without you… now that I found you. It’s my ritual.” Well, that’s nice. Wrabel doesn’t appear in the video, however, which finds Marshmello doing typical EDM-bro things like standing on mountains and jumping into pools. Watch up top.
