Alessia Cara Interview
We speak to Alessia Cara about "Scars To Your Beautiful" & touring with Coldplay.

Alessia Cara spearheads the soundtrack to Disney’s latest animated blockbuster, Moana (due Thanksgiving), with a soaring ballad called “How Far I’ll Go.” Written by Hamilton mastermind Lin-Manuel Miranda, the inspiring anthem is the perfect antidote to the general ugliness of 2016. “See the line where the sky meets the sea? It calls me and no one knows how far it goes,” the 20-year-old wails. “If the wind in my sail on the sea stays behind me, one day I’ll know if I go there’s just no telling how far I’ll go.” Awww.

It’s very Disney and has a touch of musical theater about it, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. The video for Alessia’s next hit arrived today (November 3) and it finds her sweeping a beach. Well, making patterns in the sand with a wooden stick to be exact. She also hangs out in a cave and soaks up the sun. In addition to her soundtrack ballad, the “Here” hitmaker is currently promoting “Scars To Your Beautiful.” That track recently cracked the top 30 on the Billboard Hot 100 and is shaping up to be another huge song.
