Selena Gomez Takes The Rest Of 2016 Off
Selena Gomez is taking the rest of 2016 off to cope with Lupus side-effects.

Selena Gomez cancelled her Revival World Tour in August and announced that she was taking the rest of the year off to recuperate from Lupus side-effects. She has been entirely absent from the music scene since then (her record-breaking Instagram hasn’t been updated in 3 months), but her voice is still being heard via a co-feature with Tory Lanez on Cashmere Cat’s “Trust Nobody.” The track, which was recorded prior to Selena’s treatment, was casually rolled out in September and is now shaping up to be a hit.

“Trust Nobody” has been quietly gathering momentum on Spotify since release (it’s currently the 55th most played song on the app) — racking up 6.4 million streams to date. Cashmere Cat’s earworm is also making waves at pop radio, debuting at number 48 today (November 7). While the song has a long way to go before rivaling the success of Selena’s Revival singles, it’s on the right track. As the Norwegian producer pointed out on Twitter, “Trust Nobody” has just been added to “the biggest playlist on earth.” Listen to the infectious collaboration below.
