On Monday, November 7 — the eve of the 2016 presidential election — Madonna fulfilled her promise of a surprise, intimate and acoustic concert in support of Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton. The Material Girl and son David Banda hit up New York City’s Madison Square Park, where the pop queen proceeded to perform a stripped-down, five-song set that included “Like A Prayer,” “Express Yourself” and “Rebel Heart,” plus covers of John Lennon‘s “Imagine” and folk classic “If I Had A Hammer.”

“Vote with your hearts; go with your mind; go with your spirit; vote with your soul. Save this country Vote for Hillary Rodham Clinton,” Madonna urged the crowd at the show, before she left. “Let’s keep America the great country that it is.”
