Future Hit: James Arthur's "Say You Won't Let Go"
James Arthur is in the middle of an unlikely comeback with "Say You Won't Let Go."

The great Scherzi-drought of 2015/2016 is almost over! According to the UK tabloids, Nicole Scherzinger is teaming up with James Arthur for a duet version of Back From The Edge album track “Let Me Love The Lonely.” (You know, the guys who sings “Say You Won’t Let Go”). How did it all come about? Well, the Pussycat Dolls diva mentored the Brit on X Factor UK and no one else was interested. The Sun reports that Nicole was actually his third choice after both Ellie Goulding and Rita Ora declined.

Their reluctance could have something to do with James’ troubled past. He was dropped by his label after using a homophobic slur in one song and rapping about terrorism in another. Anyway, the 28-year-old has apologized and now has a global hit on his hands. So Ellie and Rita’s loss in Nicole’s gain. “Let Me Love The Lonely” is a gorgeous ballad and could well be a winter hit for the somewhat unlikely duo. It will be the “Puakenikeni” queen’s first single since 2014’s slept-on “Run.” Listen to the solo version below.
