When it comes to breaking pop stars, America’s Got Talent lags behind American Idol and X Factor UK. That could change with the arrival of Grace VanderWaal’s debut EP, Perfectly Imperfect (due December 2). There’s serious buzz around the 12-year-old, who went viral with an original composition called “I Don’t Know My Name.” Her audition video has amassed more than 100 million views on YouTube and Simon Cowell dubbed her “the next Taylor Swift.” That’s reason enough to pay very close attention to the season 11 winner.

“A year ago I auditioned for America’s Got Talent & my life changed forever,” she tweeted this morning. “Today I’m announcing my #PerfectlyImperfect EP out 12/2 #MiraclesDoHappen. I can’t wait to share it with you guys. This is just the beginning.” Grace also released a cute video about her journey (below), which is a good introduction to the pre-teen phenomenon if you missed her on the show. Perfectly Imperfect is available to preorder on Friday. It comes with an instant download of “I Don’t Know My Name.”
