In addition to his recent concert antics (i.e. praising president elect Donald Trump in one rant and dragging Beyoncé and Jay Z in another), Kanye West also donned the latest issue of Surface magazine. The conversation, which was filmed, touches on subjects like his creative agency Donda, art, fashion and more. West also briefly talks about his love for emojis, when asked what his version of utopia might be.

“I don’t think people are going to talk in the future,” he said. “They’re going to communicate through eye contact, body language, emojis, signs. Imagine that. If everyone was forced to learn sign language.”

The interviewer then asked him if wordless communication is his preferred method of interaction.

“Yeah, sign language, eye contact,” the rapper revealed. “Or thank God for emojis. So often one emoji goes a long way and lets me get on with my whole day.”

And in more Kanye news, on Sunday (November 20), he posted about 99 images of past and present Maison Margiela lookbooks on his Instagram, just hours after cancelling a gig he was slated to perform that very evening.
