Pitbull's Slick "Greenlight" Video
Pitbull teams up with Flo Rida and LunchMoney Lewis for "Greenlight" video.

After dropping a trio of singles built around samples (“Freedom,” “FREE.K,” “Messin’ Around” etc.), Pitbull returned to his Miami-influenced party formula on “Greenlight.” He continues refining the sound of 10th LP Climate Change (due 2017) with “Can’t Have.” A collaboration with vocalist Steven A. Clark and dancehall producer Ape Drums, the catchy banger finds the rapper experimenting with an edgier electronic sound. But while the production is different, Mr. Worldwide stays true to his roots in the philosophical verses.

“If you don’t know where you’re from, you don’t know where you’re going,” Pitbull explained to The FADER. “If you don’t stand up for something, you’ll fall for anything. That’s what ‘Can’t Have’ is all about — appreciation. Because the grass looks greener on the other side until you get to the other side.” It’s nice to see Pit working with rising artists as well as superstars like Jennifer Lopez and Enrique Iglesias on Climate Change.
