Rising Aussie Cloves drops moody, cinematic "Don't Forget About Me" video.

Cloves first made waves in 2015 with stripped-back ballad “Don’t You Wait” and kept the momentum going with impressive debut EP, XIII — a forlorn four-song set that showcases her husky, melancholy vocals. The Australian singer/songwriter returned this summer Me Before You soundtrack song “Don’t Forget About Me,” but she’s been fairly stingy with new material until now. The 20-year-old finally introduces us to her debut LP (due 2017) with brooding Justin Parker-produced single “Better Now.”

“I swear that ‘Better Now’ is written almost sarcastically, to move the conversation on,” Kaity Dunstan (her real name) says in a press release. “I had given up trying to talk about how I was feeling and instead started distancing myself. The lyrics touch on the internal conflict I was having about weighing-up if a long term relationship was still working, the back and forth between obligation to someone and the desire to be alone.” Listen to the deliciously dark and emotional track below.
