2NE1 has officially disbanded, its label YG Entertainment announced on November 25.

“2NE1 has been YG’s signature girl group for the past seven years, so YG is saddened to let them go,” an official statement reads, per Fuse. “However, it is better for 2NE1 members to continue on with their careers as solo artists rather than as a group.”

According to YG, 2NE1’s contract with the label expired in May — a month after singer and rapper Minzy declined to renew her contract and left the group. Meanwhile, CL and Sandara Park still have solo deals inked with YG.

2NE1 remains the only Korean girl group to perform at arenas in the United States, with 2014’s Crush being the highest charting K-pop album on the Billboard 200. Its global success led to CL signing to manager Scooter Braun (Justin BieberAriana GrandeCarly Rae Jepsen) in efforts to launch a solo career Stateside.

While none of the individual members have commented publicly on the situation, Dara reportedly wrote a letter to Blackjacks — 2NE1’s ever-devoted fanbase — referencing the group’s most popular songs and lyrics in thanks for their support.
