It looks like Zayn Malik is well on his way to his second #1 single, thanks to a super surprise duet with Taylor Swift. The two have paired up for “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever,” a cut from upcoming film Fifty Shades Darker that, given Swift’s star power, could very well eclipse smash Fifty Shades Of Grey‘s soundtrack hits “Love Me Like You Do” (by Ellie Goulding) and “Earned It” (The Weeknd).

So what do we have here? “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever” is pretty much a sexy, synthy ballad of the “Pillowtalk” variety that kicks off with Zayn’s tenor on the first verse and falsetto crooning on the chorus. Enter Taylor on the second verse, pondering, “Wondering if I dodged a bullet or just lost the love of my life?”

“I Don’t Wanna Live Forever” was written by Swift, Sam Dew and Jack Antonoff, and produced by Antonoff. As of this morning, the song is — duh — already #1 on the iTunes chart. Like most of Swift’s songs, you won’t find it on Spotify, though.
