Was Fiona Apple‘s “Trump’s Nuts Roasting On An Open Fire” version of “The Christmas Song” not your cup of nog? Well perhaps you’ll enjoy Mariah Carey and R. Kelly‘s live duet version of the Nat King Cole holiday classic. It’s definitely more family-friendly, despite the involvement of R. Kelly, who had a stogie in hand for the song.
During Mimi’s latest Beacon Theatre performance in New York last night (December 8), she brought out the special guest. “We’ve never done this before,” she told the audience. “I want to do this song and I’ve never done it before so I’m a little nervous, especially because this is one of my favorite singers right here.”
But they breezed through it, and celebrated with some kisses on the cheek (too many from Kellz in creep mode, tbh) and some glasses of egg nog. Check out fan footage below.
