Nelly Furtado Pushes ‘The Ride’ Back To March 31: See The Tracklist

Nelly Furtado has pushed back the release of sixth LP The Ride to March 31, from the initial date of March 3, according to The Fader. She also revealed the album cover and 12-song tracklist ahead of the new year. Missing from the roster is the squiggly “Islands Of Me,” confirming her prior update that it’s a bonus track.

Fans looking for a chart pop odyssey like Loose may have to look elsewhere, as all the production here is handled by St. Vincent‘s righthand man John Congleton, and Nelly has described the album as “modern pop-alternative.” The recent tracks suggest that’s some sort of middle ground between her early Whoa Nelly! material and her forward-thinking radio pop bangers that came after.

Check out the tracklist and her IG update with the album cover below.
