As promised, Ed Sheeran has returned to social media, exactly a year after announcing his hiatus from the public eye. The singer posted a simple blue square to mark his comeback, prompting folks on the Internet to go into a frenzy.

Could this mean that there’s new music on the way? Possibly. According to BBC NewsBeat, songwriter Amy Wadge (who co-penned Sheeran’s hit “Thinking Out Loud”) revealed that his third is, in fact, finished and that it’s going to “break the internet.”
