Robin Thicke Remembers His Father Alan Thicke: “He Was The Best Man I Ever Knew”

Robin Thicke has paid homage to his late father and actor Alan Thicke, who passed away on Tuesday (December 13) from a heart attack at 69 years old. The “Blurred Lines” singer took to Instagram to share a few kind words about his dad, noting that “he was the best man I ever knew.”

Thicke continued, “[He was] the best friend I ever had. Let’s all rejoice and celebrate the joy he brought to every room he was in. We love you Alan Thicke. Thank you for your love. Love, your grateful son.”

The crooner also spoke to the LA Times about his father, crediting him as an inspiration and a constant source of support.

“The good thing was that he was beloved and he had closure,” said Thicke. “I saw him a few days ago and told him how much I loved and respected him.”

Alan Thicke is survived by his wife Tanya Callau, and his sons Robin, Brennan and Carter.
