Beyoncé Sued Over Logo In “Drunk In Love” Video

Beyoncé is facing a lawsuit over her “Drunk In Love” video, but it has more to do with husband Jay Z‘s Roc-A-Fella company and a longstanding legal battle that it can’t seem to shake. A man claiming he designed the Roc logo is suing Beyoncé, saying she featured it without permission in her 2013 visual, according to TMZ.

Dwayne Walker claims he designed the original icon and thus owns the copyright to it, and is owed royalties for its placement in “Drunk In Love.” The thing is, the only time the logo shows up is in brief shots of Jay’s Roc necklace. Oh and the other thing is, Walker previously tried to sue Jay and Damon Dash over the logo for $7 million in unpaid royalties, but the business partners along with Universal Music Group disputed his story, saying someone else actually designed the logo.

That case was dismissed in September, so it seems this is a last-ditch attempt to reignite that fight.
