The Chainsmokers Previewed A New Song: Listen

The Chainsmokers dominated what ended up being a very conservative year for pop, and they’re closing out 2016 with a new song. We get the world we deserve.

Your EDM points out the dance duo previewed the track in two short Snapchat videos. Drew Taggart, who handled vocals alongside Halsey on their hit “Closer,” is behind the mic again in what sounds like another twee-DM love song. In the video, he mouths along with the lines “We were staying in Paris to get away from your parents” and “If we go down, we go down together / they’ll say you could do anything, they’ll say I was clever” over a generic beat.

Based on an earlier tweet, they could be debuting the song during their December 30 show, a perfect capper to the year in which we made America bro again.
