One of our favorite former X Factor UK contestants, multi-talented firecracker Janet Devlin, has delivered a final treat before the new year kicks in.

The 22 year old’s tongue-in-cheek single from earlier this year, “Outernet Song,” was a fun little piece of three-minute pop in and of itself. But now the tune has been completely overhauled by dancefloor maestro Jason Nevins, and it’s like a whole new sonic avenue has opened up for Janet.

“I never thought that a song I started writing as a teenage rant would end up being recorded and released, let alone remixed by Jason Nevins,” Devlin tells Idolator. “I had the privilege of meeting him on a recent trip out to the States. Being a fan of his work it was an amazing experience to hang out. I had to pinch myself when he told me he was a fan of the song and wanted to remix it. How can I say no to that?”

She continues, “I’m so excited for people to hear ‘Outernet Song’ in a totally different musical context.”

Well, personally, we’re digging this fully plugged-in Janet. Listen to her and Jason’s beat-filled collaboration above.
