Demi Lovato Details How She Found Out About Her Grammy Nomination
The 2017 Grammy nominations have been out for a little bit now, and there are a few first-time nominees in our midst this year. Demi Lovato, who’s album Confident is up for Best Pop Vocal Album, is one of them. Recently, the singer recalled how she found out about the Grammy nod in an interview with Billboard.
“The way that I found out was getting a phone call really early in the morning, and my assistant came in and said ‘Phil’ – who’s my manager – ‘Phil has to talk to you. Get on the phone,” she said. “So I answered it, and he said ‘You’ve just been nominated for a Grammy,’ and I literally shot up and said ‘Shut the fuck up.'”
We probably would’ve done the same.
