Ed Sheeran has confirmed that he will indeed do a Carpool Karaoke session with Late Late Show host James Corden in the near future. The singer – who put out two new songs last week and announced his forthcoming album Divide – stopped by Roman Kemp‘s radio show on Capital FM and revealed the news.

“I’ve been in touch with James Corden about this for three years because he wanted me to do the first one, and I just wasn’t around,” Sheeran said. “But I can confirm that at some point this year I will be doing a Carpool Karaoke.”

He also admitted that he’d feel a bit “awkward” singing to his own songs. Though, he does have a few other options in mind.

“I think I’ll just want to put on some Biggie,” he told Kemp. “I want to put on something really awkward and dirty like Biggie’s song ‘Big Booty Hoes’ or something like that.”

Sheeran then proceeded to give a sleek, acoustic performance of his latest trop-pop hit “Shape Of You.”
