Big Sean To Make ‘SNL’ Debut This Month

Perhaps you were expecting SNL to send some sort of message of defiance by selecting an outspoken feminist or maybe some firebrands like Run The Jewels to be musical guest on January 21, the day after the bald oligarch is sworn in as president. What a naive expectation! Saturday Night Live had a hand in normalizing the orange racist, while NBC and Trump will continue to make money off his show. And so we get Big Sean as the first performer in the Trump era (no offense to Big Sean, who supported Hillary; he’s just a tad neutral for these times).

The I Decided rapper will perform and Aziz Ansari hosts. It’ll be the first time either has been on SNL (kinda surprising Aziz hasn’t been on before). This Saturday (January 14) marks the first show of 2017, hosted by Felicity Jones and featuring Sturgill Simpson as musical guest.
