Shawn Mendes just gave his friends the best wedding gift ever.
Last weekend, the “Mercy” singer attended his friend Matt’s wedding, during which he performed a previously unreleased ballad called “Try My Best.” And here’s the kicker – according to Billboard, the song was based on a love letter that the groom wrote to his wife.
“Matt and I both wrote this for you, Catherine, so I hope you love it,” Mendes said before poignantly crooning the song as the couple shared their first dance as man and wife.
