Shania Twain Is Still Trolling Us With New Album Talk
Just when I was starting to think of Shania Twain’s forever-delayed fifth album as a shiny, beautiful concept that simply doesn’t exist (like a unicorn), the country superstar tweets about it twice in two weeks. “Thank you for all your continued support,” she told fans on New Year’s Day. “So excited to share new music with you this year. 2017, I’m gonna getcha good.” The 51-year-old followed that up today (January 10) with another missive about an upcoming Country Music Hall Of Fame exhibit.
“Being able to re-visit favourite career memories has been special, especially as this year will see a new stage for me with a new album!” Shania declared. I’m trying not to get my hopes up, but 2017 does mark the 20th anniversary of seminal LP, Come On Over, and she has been posting pics from the studio on Instagram. “I’ve got enough songs for two albums at this point, because I’ve been at it for two years,” the mega-selling diva told USA Today way back in 2015. Let’s hope we finally hear some of those songs this year. See her tantalizing tweets below.
