Demi Lovato Hits The Studio With Diane Warren
After taking a break to recharge (and do good things in Africa), Demi Lovato is back at work. She hit the studio with legendary songwriter Diane Warren yesterday (January 18) and apparently cranked out a couple of “#smashes.” “First session in da new studio!!” the woman behind every good power ballad from the ’80s and ’90s tweeted. “@ddlovato showing em how it’s done!!! #Smashes.” Demi then shared a snippet of their handiwork on Instagram (below), which is basically just a long howl. I’m still here for it.
It looks like that unexpected Grammy nomination for Best Pop Vocal Album has revitalized the diva. For a while there, it looked like D6 was in limbo — particularly when intended lead single “Body Say” came and went without denting the charts. Demi then took some time out to lick her wounds after getting involved a string of Twitter beefs. When can we expect to hear something new? It might take some time. “New music? I’m in the studio right now, I don’t know when I’ll release it. I’ll release it when it’s ready,” she told Extra recently. See Demi and Diane’s updates below.
