Pop Perspective: Ed Sheeran's "Shape Of You"
We rate and review Ed Sheeran's new singles "Shape Of You" and "Castle On The Hill."

Given the extraordinary success of “Shape Of You” (number 1 in the UK, US and Australia), you’d think that Ed Sheeran could collaborate with anyone he wants. But there’s one person he hasn’t be able to get into the studio. Yet. “I’ve done some live stuff with Beyonce, but I’d love to do a song-song, like an original song,” the Brit explained in a segment for MTV UK. “We did a really cool thing at Stevie Wonder show and then I went on for her show and sung ‘Drunk In Love’ with her, but that’s it. I’d love to do an original song.”

Of course, Ed’s referring to his cameo on CBS Stevie Wonder tribute, Songs In The Key Of Life, where he joined Beyonce and Gary Clark Jr. on stage for a medley of “Fingertips,” “Master Blaster (Jammin’)” and “Higher Ground.” He then joined Queen Bey for a cute rendition of “Drunk In Love” at the 2015 Global Citizen Festival. A duet would make sense from a commercial standpoint if the Lemonade diva ever makes a return to pop. Watch Ed make his case below.
