After a couple months of teases, Major Lazer‘s new collab with Nicki Minaj and PARTYNEXTDOOR is here, and “it sounds like a Major Lazer song” is definitely a thing you could say about it. PND takes the lead and handles the hook, before Nicki jumps in for a lengthy verse with a few bars of singing thrown in.
It’s got all the trappings of a Major Lazer song that you’ve come to expect, from the dancehall rhythm to the warped electro-slide whistle effects, but the most notable thing about the song is Nicki’s line, “bout to drop an album, this is my fourth.”
