It’s official! Zedd confirmed his upcoming collaboration with Alessia Cara via a TV commercial on Saturday night (February 4). The track is called “Stay” and arrives on February 24. Of course, the German DJ had hinted at the unlikely pairing way back in December. “Who’s ready for ZEDD x ALESSIA CARA,” he captioned a happy snap. While it’s hard to imagine the Canadian homebody on a banger (she literally sang avoiding parties on “Here”), Zedd has knack for easing pop stars into the club fold.

This is yet another coup for Alessia. The 20-year-old established herself as one of 2016’s breakout stars with loner anthem “Here” and mega-ballad “Scars To Your Beautiful,” which recently cracked the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100. She also has a hit on her hands with Moana theme song “How Far I’ll Go.” As I wrote previously, there’s a lot of life left in her debut LP, Know-It-All, but this could be a clever stop-gap if she Canadian decides to move straight on to her sophomore set.
