Kylie Minogue Wins! Blocks Kylie Jenner From Trademarking ‘Kylie’

There’s no denying Kylie Minogue is a legend.  Aside from being an internationally recognized entertainer, philanthropist, and fashion forward pop-diva, the 48-year-old Aussie hit maker has now successfully shut down Keep Up With The Kardashians star, Kylie Jenner‘s bid to trademark their shared first name, according to The Daily Mail.

While the battle over the trademark has been going on since 2015, it looks as though the US Patent and Trademark Office has sided with Minogue after her legal reps sent a laundry list of reasons why Tyga‘s girlfriend, described by Minogue’s reps as ‘a secondary reality television personality’, should have her request denied.

Citing that Minogue, is “an ‘internationally-renowned performing artist, humanitarian and breast cancer activist known worldwide simply as “Kylie”,’ it seems like a no brainer to deny the youngest member of the Kardashina/Jenner clan looking to secure the trademark for her clothing and make-up line.

With Minogue already owning trademarks for “Kylie Minogue Darling,” “Lucky–The Kylie Minogue Musical,” and “Kylie Minogue,” it’s clear Jenner securing, “Kylie” for herself would cause confusion and upset for those who aren’t fans of the cakey faced teen titan.

Even with the denial, Jenner is appealing the decision…obvi.
