And she’s back! Earlier today (February 6), I wrote a post about Katy Perry possibly performing at the BRIT Awards on February 22. It turns out that the newly-blond diva will return even sooner. She joins Beyonce, Adele and Bruno Mars as confirmed performers at the Grammys on February 12. That means that we’ll be hearing something new in less than a week. According to Billboard, Katy is debuting a new single called “Chained To The Rhythm” featuring Skip Marley. It hasn’t been confirmed yet by Capitol Records, and the tidbit was subsequently removed from the post, but there is some basis for the collaboration. The 32-year-old promoted Skip’s new single, “Lions,” on Facebook over the weekend. Time will tell if the information is accurate, but the prospect of Katy dropping a reggae-tinged bop (Skip is Bob Marley’s grandson) is tantalizing.
