Ellie Goulding's 'Bridget Jones's Baby' ballad gets an emotional video.

It looks like you can add Ellie Goulding to the armada of pop divas rolling out new albums in 2017. The Brit recently hit the studio with Raye, who is one of our artists to watch this year, and producer BloodPop. (He co-produced Justin Bieber’s “Sorry” and Lady Gaga’s “Perfect Illusion”). The caption wasn’t exactly illuminating, but this is the first real hint that she’s making progress on the follow-up to 2015’s Delirium. And if those collaborators are any indication, she isn’t straying too far from her signature dance-pop sound.

Hopefully, the 30-year-old can recapture some of the magic of her first two albums (and their many rereleases). While Ellie remained a presence on the charts thanks to soundtrack contributions “Love Me Like You Do” and “Still Falling For You,” Delirium came and went without making much of an impression. Lead single/Ed Sheeran diss-track “On My Mind” cracked the top 20, but “Something In The Way You Move” stalled outside the top 40. (“Army” missed the Billboard Hot 100 altogether). See the birth of EG4 below.
