Erika Jayne’s “XXpen$ive” Cover Belongs On A Heavy Metal T-Shirt
Erika Jayne showed the other Real Housewives a thing or two about dabbling in pop with outrageous banger “XXpen$ive.” Of course, she has a distinct advantage. Before conquering reality TV, the flawless 45-year-old had already eked out a reputation as a dance diva of the highest caliber with a string of hits. The goddess of glamor unveiled the cover of her new single recently and it wouldn’t look out out of place on a heavy metal t-shirt circa 1987. I’m obsessed.
Produced by Space Primates and co-written by singer/songwriters Jesse Saint John, Ferras and Sarah Hudson, “XXpen$ive” is a high-camp delight. “It’s expensive to be me,” Erika purrs over a dub-step beat. “Looking this good don’t come for free.” I can only image. The resurgent chanteuse is also putting the finishing touches on the video, which also promises to be a wild ride. She rocks as little clothing as possible and channels ‘80s and ‘90s icons like Madonna, Pamela Anderson and Cindy Crawford. Gaga who?
EDIT: It has already fulfilled its destiny (below).
