Erika Jayne’s “XXPEN$IVE” Video Is An Outrageous Delight
Erika Jayne’s last single was called “How Many Fucks?” and, to be honest, I had zero. That all changed with the arrival of “XXPEN$IVE” — a super-powered bop with outrageous lyrics and a killer chorus. “It’s expensive to be me,” the Beyonce of Real Housewives purrs over a thunderous beat. “Looking this good don’t come for free.” No shit. The 45-year-old’s perfectly-preserved assets are on full display in the video as well as her uncanny ability to serve looks and knack for Drag Race-tastic choreography.
The action begins with Erika lounging around her bedroom in sexy lingerie. She then takes a bubble bath, dances with some shirtless dudes and hits the club in a leotard. If Russ Meyer were alive today (and making iconic music videos), he would come up with something like this. The catchy track was prodced by Space Primates and co-written by singer/songwriters Jesse Saint John, Ferras and Sarah Hudson. At this rate, the diva’s sophomore album — if she can be bothered with one — is shaping up to be a hell of a lot of fun. Watch up top.
