The singer-songwriter returns to save 2017 and pop music with her brand new anthem.

Lifetime biopic Britney Ever After, which debuted last night (February 18), makes an audacious claim: Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake had a sex tape. While the film doesn’t depict the making, the beach house where the Spears family is staying does get robbed — and in the aftermath, Justin realizes that their tape was stolen.

“My little girl was in a boudoir video?” Britney’s dad actually says, according to The Daily Mail.

No one, including Britney, was expecting Britney Ever After to be completely accurate. But the network must have really used its imagination, as opposed to Google, to justify that plot twist. Britney did tell W in 2003 that she and Justin slept together two years into dating. But the ex-pop couple weren’t even rumored to have a sex tape.

Britney Ever After dives into the meteoric rise and most traumatizing aspects of Britney’s career, as well documented by TMZ. But apparently, incredibly, Lifetime decided that it didn’t have enough material to work with.

“Although based on a true story, some characters are fictionalized composites, and some events have been compressed, reorganized or fictionalized for purposes of dramatization,” reads its disclaimer, per Bustle.
