Pop Perspective: Fergie's "Life Goes On"
We rate and review Fergie's "Life Goes On" in the latest Pop Perspective.

My love for Fergie runs deep (I downloaded and stan “Labels Or Love”), but my patience with Double Dutchess is running out. It’s one thing to make fans wait for a decade between albums, it’s another to drip feed comeback singles over the space of three, frustrating years. Happily, there’s light at the end of the tunnel. I hope. The forever-flawless diva shared a still from a new video last night (February 21) and it looks like a sizzling affair. She flashes a little butt in a sexy and latex ensemble, which evokes the magnificent “M.I.L.F. $” visual.

With any luck, the song will be more in that vein too. I know it was an acquired taste, but the frantic banger was quintessentially Fergie. Something I can’t say about easy-listening experiment “Life Goes On.” Now comes the guessing game. The 41-year-old revealed that she’s already filmed three videos — “A Little Work” (directed by Jonas Åkerlund), “Just Like You” and “Nothin'” (directed by Ben Moore). What is she going to rollout next? As long as it’s a bop and closely followed by an album announcement, I really don’t mind. See the preview below.
