John Legend has long talked politics in public. But last night (February 24), the Darkness and Light singer’s Twitter account was hacked to make his views seem more, ahem, crass.

Minutes after John actually called President Donald Trump “Liar-in-Chief” for having misspoken about Bowling Green and Sweden, the tone of his tweets changed drastically. “I can’t stand by and be silent, @realDonaldTrump, you’re a b—h ass n—a and if I see you, I’m stomping your s–t you f—–‘ cheetoh,” the hacker said, adding, “rain drop drop top i want @HillaryClinton to ride my big c—.”

To his credit, John took the situation in stride and quickly addressed what happened. (The Twitter account apparently responsible, @Owen755, has also been suspended.)

“‘I’ll try to be funnier from now on so he won’t feel the need to ghost write [sic] for me,” he said. “I would never threaten violence to the President. No matter how much I wish he would go away. I wouldn’t call him a Cheeto because I enjoy Cheetos. I did call him Liar-In-Chief. Then my hacker took over to do the Angrier John version of it all.”
