The Beef Between Remy Ma & Nicki Minaj Is On

No one is safe in 2017. Remy Ma has released “Shether,” a flip on Nas“Ether” and a scathing diss track aimed at Nicki Minaj. And she doesn’t hold back. (Just look at the single art, featuring a mutilated Barbie with a pink wig.) “Talking ’bout bringing knives to a fight when the only shot you ever took was in your buns,” Remy spits.

This is in direct response to “Make Love,” a track Gucci Mane released Thursday and begins with, ironically, “I look down on the beef / that shit childish to me.” Nicki is featured, and she takes shots at an unidentified foe: “You see, silly rabbit, to be the queen of rap / You gotta sell records, you gotta get plaques / S, plural like the S on my chest / Now sit your dumb ass down / You got an F on your test.”

There were signs Nicki was taking aim at Remy Ma, like her referencing Nas (“I rep Queens where they listen to a bunch of Nas / I’m a yes, and these bitches are a bunch of nahs”). Last year Remy did a freestyle over Nas’ “New York State of Mind” that was initially believed to be about Nicki.

But in “Shether,” Remy chides Nicki for believing that rumor before running through a stunning list of ugly accusations, including, but not limited to: Nicki sleeping with Young Money label boss Lil Wayne, her sleeping with Hot 97 host Ebro Darden, and using a ghostwriter.

Nicki has already responded to Remy Ma on Instagram, posting a snippets of a That Grape Juice article about her and Fat Joe‘s Plato O Plomo album sales and a “Dear Nicki” serenade that Beyonce recorded for fun in 2015, where she calls Nicki “the rap queen.” Hear the beef unfold below.

‍♀️ yikes.
