Lea Michele To Preview Her Sophomore LP
Lea Michele will preview her sophomore LP with a string of live dates.

Lea Michele introduces her sophomore LP, Places, with a buzz single called “Love Is Alive.” And it represents something of a change from her debut. “It warms the rising sun, it kisses everyone,” she sings over piano. “It doesn’t remember the hate of yesterday.” The Glee star then pulls the trigger in the chorus: “Oh can’t you hear it in my voice, oh can’t you see it in my eyes, love, love is alive in me.” It’s a lot more subdued and refined than the heavily produced ballads on Louder, and feels like a more organic fit.

“It’s such a special song for me,” Lea reveals to People magazine. “I wanted a song on the album that represented where I am personally in my life right now, and this song is exactly that. It’s about believing in love and the power and beauty of love. It made me so happy while recording it, and I hope it brings the same light and joy to everyone else as it has for me.” You can watch a preview of the video, which finds the diva performing the song in an empty theatre, below. “Love Is Alive” is expected to drop on Friday, March 3.
