“That’s What I Like” is shaping up to be another blockbuster hit for Bruno Mars. The slinky ’90s bop reached a new peak of number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week, his 14th top 10 in total, and it should climb even higher with the arrival of the flashy video. It dropped tonight (March 1) and combines the 31-year-old’s fancy footwork with animation. It’s simple, but extremely effective in a “Hotline Bling” kind of way.
The 24K Magic era continues to go from strength to strength on the back of incredible award show performances and smart single choices. (Hopefully, he will release fan favorite, “Finesse,” next). You can hear all the hits on Bruno’s 24K Magic World Tour, kicks off in Antwerp, Belgium on March 28 and then crisscrosses Europe. The North American leg starts in mid-July and will stop in 45 cities including Las Vegas, Chicago, Portland, Brooklyn and Montreal. The hitmaker will wind up the extravaganza with a four-night stint at The Forum in Los Angeles.
