Jennifer Hudson returns with soaring piano ballad "Remember Me."

Jennifer Hudson returned on Friday (March 3) with a soaring new ballad called “Remember Me.” She performed the song for the first time on The Voice UK last night and pulled the trigger vocally. It sounded even better live and confirmed my suspicion that J Hud’s new team has finally found the perfect vehicle for her voice. The 35-year-old co-wrote “Remember Me” with Jamie Hartman (the man behind Rag’N’Bone Man’s “Human”) and that personal connection to the material really comes through in her emotionally charged performance.

“As an artist, when I discover music that I connect with deeply, it brings me a sense of excitement that I can’t put into words,” Jennifer explains. “That’s how I feel about ‘Remember Me.’ Everything about it is special — from co-writing it with Jamie, to the recording process, to how it made me feel along the way. I just can’t wait to share it with the world.” The first taste of the Grammy/Oscar winner’s fourth LP sounds like a long-overdue smash hit. Watch her in action up top.
