Steve Aoki Opens Up About His Collaboration With Lauren Jauregui
Steve Aoki threw Harmonizers into a spin when he posted a studio pic with Lauren Jauregui in February. The veteran producer sheds a little light on the collaboration in a new interview with Billboard. “It’s going to be something people won’t expect,” he reveals. “We’re definitely working on stuff in the studio and I want to nail it.” The 39-year-old then sang the Fifth Harmony singer’s praises: “She’s one of my favorite singers, so for me it’s really exciting to work with her because I really love her ideas.”
“We’re on the same page about so many different things that it’s going to be an exciting record that we do together…. Expect the unexpected.” Sounds tantalizing. Steve also spoke about his hit collaboration with Louis Tomlinson. “[It] was pretty exciting for a lot of people,” he said of the floorfiller. “When we’re two guys in the studio trying to finish music, you forget about the past and what was happening. You’re like, ‘Let’s just work on what’s really important.'” The video for “Just Hold On” dropped today (March 8). You can watch it here.
