Tinashe Is Releasing A New Single (Possibly) Called “Flame”
Things went a little pear-shaped for Tinashe in 2016. The sizzling singer was expected to stake her claim to the R&B/pop throne with sophomore LP, Joyride, but it never happened. Instead we got a (killer) mixtape, a bunch of random singles and an endless stream of features of varying quality. Happily, the 24-year-old seems to be back on track. She has been hinted at releasing new music via social media and internet detectives figured out the name of the single weeks in advance. According to this source, Tee’s latest is called “Flame” and it drops March 16.
That is supported by cryptic clues on the “Company” diva’s Instagram. “When you know u got that fire but they ain’t ready for it yet,” she captioned one pic. “Radio mornings mean new music is on the way,” was her description of another. Tinashe has also been using the flame emoji liberally, so this all feels legit. It will be interesting to see if “Flame” captures the attention of radio like “2 On.” The rising star really needs a hit to build the momentum for Joyride. See her social media hints below.
