Rebecca Black Drops "Friday" Sequel
Rebecca Black has released a sequel to "Friday" called, you guessed it, "Saturday."

It’s 2017 and Rebecca Black is climbing the charts. The 19-year-old, who carved out a special niche in pop culture with viral phenomenon “Friday,” just cracked the top 30 on Billboard’s Dance Club Songs chart. As a press release excitedly points out, she’s currently outperforming Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift on the countdown. How did this happen? Well, the budding pop star is all grown up and her current single, “The Great Divide,” is very much on-trend with its emotional lyrics, electronic production and mega-drop.

“The only reason I’m here today is because I took the time to go away, grow up and find who I was as a woman — as well as an artist — on my own terms,” Rebecca revealed. “Now to see my own work connect with others, I don’t know what to say — this is so incredibly rewarding.” It looks like this is the only the beginning of the meme-spawning diva’s rebirth. She plans to roll out more new music in 2017 and will, no doubt, continue to prove all the haters wrong. Watch the video for her hit club-banger above.
