Celine Dion Soars On Pink-Penned Ballad
Pink wrote a ballad for Celine Dion and it's beautiful. Listen to "Recovering."

The soundtrack for Disney’s live action remake of Beauty And The Beast arrived on Friday (March 10) and the obvious standout is Celine Dion’s gorgeous “How Does A Moment Last Forever.” Penned by songwriting gods Alan Menken and Tim Rice, the understated ballad tugs at the heartstrings without being coarse and is already being bandied about as a favorite for Best Original Song at next year’s Oscars. It’s not as pop radio-friendly as the (original version of the) titular track, but it’s a very worthy follow-up.

“Sometimes our happiness is captured, somehow a time and place stands still, love lives on inside our hearts and always will, Celine sings in a verse. “Minutes turn to hours, days to year then gone, but when all else has been forgotten still our song lives on.” Are you teary yet? Well, wait for the chorus: “How does a moment last forever? How does our happiness endure? Through the darkest of our troubles, love is beauty, love is pure.” Listen to the pop icon’s latest track below and buy the soundtrack here. The film opens this week.
