On The Verge: 25 Artists To Watch In 2017
We've put together a list of 25 artists on the brink of very big things in 2017.

Amy Shark was arguably the breakout Australian artist of 2016 courtesy of a moody anthem called “Adore.” It peaked at number 3 on the ARIA chart, sold platinum and, perhaps more impressively, came second on Triple J’s nation-stopping Hottest 100 countdown. (Flume and Kai’s “Never Be Like You” nabbed the top spot). It was inevitable that the singer/songwriter would attract international interest and today (March 21) she announces a US deal with RCA Records. They will release her debut EP, Night Thinker, on April 21.

“I’m so excited to announce the release of my debut EP Night Thinker,” Amy says in a press release. “This body of work has been brewing for a very long time, I held nothing back on this EP and It’s going to be an incredible feeling once it’s finally released to the world.” The six-song set includes “Adore,” new buzz track “Weekends” and a collaboration with Aussie rapper Allday called “Worst Girl.” The newcomer will promote her EP with a 13-date North American Tour, beginning May 31 in Toronto, ON.
