It looks like Zayn Malik is finally ready to roll out the first taste of his sophomore LP. The 24-year-old teams up with PARTYNEXTDOOR (the artist/producer behind Rihanna’s “Work” and Beyonce and Jay Z’s “Shining”) on new single, “Still Got Time.” He shared the very-orange cover on Twitter today (March 21) as well as a tiny snippet of the song. The 10-second instrumental doesn’t give a lot away, but it sounds like a sunny, dancehall-flavored banger. The track is expected to arrive on Friday.

The former One Direction heartthrob has been chipping away at his second album for most of last year. Not that fans have been starving for new music. Zayn has kept them occupied with a couple of features (Snakehips’ “Cruel” and M.I.A.’s “Freedun”) and that chart-conquering Fifty Shades Darker duet with Taylor Swift. It will be interesting to see if the “Pillowtalk” hitmaker’s latest pulls him in a more hip-hop direction or if he stays in his soulful lane. Listen to a snippet of “Still Got Time” below.
